Today we hiked back to Slovenia and spent the night in Lipizzan. The town basically consists of the stud farm with the necessary infrastructure, a golf course, a hotel, and a casino.
The rooms are fancy and creatively decorated. Truly something different. It's like a horse stable.

Today's hike began with light rain, which lasted about two hours. But it wasn't too bad.
Since there's hardly any elevation gain, we made it pretty quickly and arrived at our destination.

Today we headed back to Italy. It was a relaxing hike, but we still encountered thunderstorms and rain. It wasn't so bad because we found shelter. It's nice that the stages aren't as strenuous anymore.

Today's hike can be described quite simply: up the vineyard, down the vineyard, up the vineyard,...
😉. It was still beautiful. We were lucky and came across a supermarket along the way. Besides stocking up on supplies (mainly fruit), we also had a cold drink and, of course, an ice cream.

Today's hike felt more like a pleasant stroll to us. It was flat, and we walked past vines, fig trees, grapevines, olive trees, and grapevines. The only people we encountered were construction workers repairing the roads. There were at least four construction sites.

Today is our last day off. The walk to Eurospar and back has already left us completely exhausted, so we need to recover. Our ice cream shop from yesterday doesn't open until 3:30 p.m. Unfortunately, we have to go out again today 😉. In between, we looked at some art.

Today we returned to Italy. I took the shuttle 😉 and Kai wore his hiking boots 🥾. That's why this trail starts at the border and not in Tolmin. That would have been 11km longer.
Afterwards, we hiked together to our accommodation.
The scenery here is truly stunning.

Today my feet, especially my toes, had gotten used to the new shoes, and I hiked the entire stage with Kai. It was a beautiful tour with a gentle ascent. The descent was, as expected, also rocky, but mostly okay. Kai really took a dip in the Soca this time, albeit only briefly 😉.

Today was the day, and I bought new shoes, which are more like running shoes than hiking boots. But my little right toe wouldn't have made it another kilometer in them. 😵💫 So I only hiked 11 kilometers and drove the rest with Mario (the taxi driver 😉). That was all I could do today. Kai, of course

So, now the blisters on my right foot are a given. This makes hiking more difficult, even with Compeed. The trail was okay today, and there wasn't much elevation gain, but it was still more strenuous than usual.
Our trail took us along the Soca River all day today. A very exciting river in many ways

Yippeeeee 🤩 We made it – all the stages. Today's route was varied and really good. Fortunately, the weather cooperated, and we were able to leave our rain gear in our suitcases. Oh yes – speaking of suitcases: we'll have to carry them ourselves again starting tomorrow.
