The first section is not really off-grid, but leads through the forest via a skid path. In wet weather, however, I would prefer to walk along the K409.
At the end of the tour, the route deviates from the gravel path to the right again. At some point the path is quite overgrown and it should be pretty

Ways to walk well. Before or after the tour you should definitely read up on something about the ammunition factory. Looks inconspicuous - but most of it is actually in the mountain.

Nice round tour around the TV tower in Solling with nice rest stops and a great view of Delliehausen.

Except for the way back from Espol to Üssinghausen, it is an easy circular route. The stretch from Rütherstraße down to Espol is particularly beautiful in late autumn.

The short section heading southwest up the ridge slowly grows over (see picture of the top at 4.2 km). It probably makes more sense to turn right after the first steeply uphill path and then come further west to the ridge.
