Started one of my favorite laps at 3 degrees and thick fog, which goes well in any weather and in any condition. Still slightly eerie at the “CologneRoubaix” passage near Falkenlust Castle, but after the Ville-Buckel, already glorious sunshine in Metternich. On roads with little traffic and farm tracks

Driven through Altenahr for the first time in two years. The damage from the great flood can still be seen everywhere - it's still frightening what a force of nature was at work there. Otherwise a very varied, beautiful round.
