Trail-rando - Boucle du plat de l'aiguille - courte
Pas un grand coureur et encore moins habitué du trail, sortant de 4 semaines sans sport après blessure au dos et un genoux convalescent. Autant dire que j'ai trottiné à faible allure et avec précaution. Malgré tout, une chouette sortie avec un bon petit dénivelé.

Walking through the towns of Noirmoutiers, I took my time, without any particular goals. A super-chilled pace, but with a few straight stretches where I had fun. The horror at one point on a shitty path. (Photo) I was completely stuck in the sand, half lost. It lasted a good 35 minutes.

So, I wanted to try the small seafront paths instead of the cycle route. Obviously, it's a bit of a drag, but it's cool. Route completed on 35mm gravel bike tires in dry and warm weather. Very cool ride. Small staircase (see photo) to get around the ring road. Not too busy during the week. Overall, a safe little road except for a few fast sections at 70 km/h.

Passage along the National Highway 249 (point 5) is blocked for roadworks until July 1, 2025. Too bad, it looked quite passable. I had to take a detour via Rue de l'Ile Challand and Rue de la Bellaudiere (which leads back to Haute Goulaine).

This entire section of the Vendée cycle route/Velodyssée was very enjoyable. A very nice, typical stretch along the coast, with cliffs and the ocean. Very well marked, it can be followed without a GPS, and it's very smooth, with roads separated from cars for the most part.
