A very pleasant hike with a sometimes steep but manageable descent. At the bottom, you arrive in isolated hamlets. The trail then continues along a decent path, followed by the road from Principal to Hortelao. From there, you need to find a shared taxi (aluguer) to Tarrafal, then another to the post. Everything is doable.
