Around Santa Barbara de Nexe
Fairly easy in the hills around Santa Barbara de Nexe. There's a short stretch of very narrow track near the beginning and a lovely long descent in the second half.

Scenic ride on mainly quiet sealed surface but a section on gravel and a short section on main road. Beautiful views around Morenos.

Porto Carvalhoso - Bengado - Moncarapacho
A wonderful ride along the tracks between Porto Carvalhoso and Bengado. I took a small detour to the little gem of Barragem De Bengado. After the tile works some quiet rural roads and then a bit of busy main road down into Moncarapacho.

To the end of the Earth and back
Easy route from Pousada Sagres to Cabo São Vicente. This wild area at the most south western point of Portugal and Europe loses its magic when you encounter the ramshackle trailers selling tourist tat and hot dogs near the lighthouse. But the sea views are magnificent.

Faro Island, Ria Formosa, São Lourenço Trail
Easy ride along the Caminho do Ludo through the Ria Formosa to Quinta do Largo. Then on the São Lourenço Trail and back to Faro Island to my favourite café for a beer and tosta mista. The Ria looked glorious today.

Cerro de São Miguel
A long steady climb from Moncarapacho for wonderful views from the Cerro de São Miguel. There seems to be some challenging bike and hike trails starting from the top.

Moncarapacho, Olhão, Fuzeta
On a beautiful Algarve morning a loop from Moncarapacho taking in a long section of the Ecovia through the salgados and the Ria Formosa. Komoot thinks part of this is off grid but it's actually an established cycleway. Get on it immediately south of the railway crossing at Quelfes.

Moncarapacho, Big Mat, Cerro de Sao Miguel
Fairly easy ride with fantastic views from Cerro de São Miguel. A long uphill climb and long freewheel down. E-bike recommended.

Around Pocilgais
Fairly easy route in the hills with stunning views. There is a 200 metre section where the track is overgrown and a bit challenging.
