Ugh, that was unexpectedly tiring. I think I underestimated the height.
The view is magnificent and the round is definitely worth it... but my tip would be to either be very fit or spend a day acclimatizing at the altitude before tackling it.

The descent is again super steep, and not even down the serpentines from the Saxerlücke but then from the Fälensee to Brülisau. Burning thighs for the inexperienced are the order of the day. 😅

I would not make the return trip from Bachheim. It only went over paved paths and the view was unspectacular. Instead, either get on in Lenzkirch or continue hiking along the Wutach.

A rather flat hike today, but 17km is 17km.
But it was a highlight to see again how beautiful the Black Forest can be and how varied the landscape is.

In the meantime, Komoot stopped recording and navigating and stopped. This happens from time to time when you don't have a network and is extremely annoying. I then cut the tour together from the two individual routes, but the lack of a (simple) export option to Strava or other tools was annoying.

Easily accessible by public transport. High density of refreshments 😁 and a magnificent view of the Rhine Valley.
As expected, Mummelsee is an absolutely overcrowded tourist trap
The way back from Seibelseckle is relatively boring, wide forest highway and no view. It's a bit of a stretch from the oxen stable to Unterstmatt.
