On this hike we did the route from Carrapateira to the cliffs twice because we missed a turnoff. But this did not detract from the beauty of the route. The hike starts in a holiday village with plenty of parking. After a few minutes you immediately have a view of the sea and you won't be able to look away from it for the entire hike. Since this section is largely part of the Fisherman's Path, the signage is exemplary. Only a short section goes along

A very beautiful and quiet route, mostly along small farm tracks. Occasionally, you'll have to cross a country road, but these are all well signposted and the sections are quite short. The surface is absolutely suitable for road bikes.
