2026.03.19. Vi afbrød turen til vandrestartpunktet ca. 2 km før. GOOGLE-ruten fra Santana er ekstremt stejl og smal. Vores Skoda Fabia har kun sommerdæk, og de spandt i 1. gear / ingen chance for at starte i 2. gear! KONKLUSION Ankomstkøretøjet skal enten have firehjulstræk ELLER TOP-dæk

A very beautiful tour. Be sure to allow plenty of extra time for the scenic views and photo stops in addition to the walking times given in guidebooks. There's a restaurant and restrooms at the furthest point/halfway through. Ideally, start before 9:30 am – it gets crowded after that. There's also ample

The most beautiful irrigation canal path of our vacation, as it flowed naturally in the stream bed next to us.
We recommend a break at the "Tiroler Kreuz" inn at the beginning of the houses of Tirolo (don't miss the apricot dumplings!!!)

WE didn't like this tour:
The descent from the top station of the Korbbahn cable car was very steep and rocky.
We canceled the remaining route down to the parking lot at the top station of the chairlift/bottom station of the Korbbahn cable car :-(

The tour is best done in the morning, as the view from the Knottnkino is to the west.
The self-service water station with elderberry juice and bottled mineral water (for a donation) just before the turnoff to the Knottenkino was pleasant.
To shop at the Lenkhof farm, which is also close to the climb/Knottenkino

2026.03.19. En dejlig tur. Nedstigningen fra vejen ved Funkturm til Machico er stejl og belagt med sten/en gammel muldyrsti. Vandrestave var nyttige for os.
