The tour leads steadily downhill from the Mindelheimer Hut to Birgsau. From there there is a bus connection to Oberstdorf every 30 minutes.
If the weather is good, there is a wonderful panorama and it is possible to recap the previous day's route from a distance.

The tour starts in Birgsau/Oberstdorf. Birgsau can be reached in around 20 minutes by bus number 7 from the bus station in Oberstdorf. The bus station is right next to the train station in Oberstdorf, which is very easy to reach via Munich or Ulm.
