Testing cycle lane to Upton
Cycle paths were in good condition, some were new. Using these road side paths was good, except it was noisy & fumy. I would not be inclined to use this route again. Better route across Canford Heath

Quick ride around Catherines Hill via old railway line
Another quick ride whilst this lovely weather is here. Going past the airfield on a shared path is never pleasant, but better than on the road with lots of lorries going past you at 40 mph. Went past the Sevens event at Chapel Gate. Always well attended

A lovely ride to Fritham
From the Avon causeway its a long hike up to the top of Bransgore then onto Holmesley WW airfield now a camp site. Into the forest for a few minutes then onto tarmac and a drop down to cross the railway line ( Southampton & Dorchester ) then up again…
