Super nice tour with various wonderful views. The start is at the final stop of the Kirnitzschtalbahn, which takes you up to the Lichtenhain waterfall, from where you can then start on foot.
You should definitely pack a cool biker or pilsner (and other food), as there is no restaurant on the way from

Tour to Branderschrofen over the Tegelberg away from the busy main paths. Super nice views of Neuschwanstein, the surrounding lakes and mountains.
