Today I'm meeting my hiking buddies at the Lilienstein parking lot 🚶♂️➡️🚶♀️➡️🚶♀️➡️🚶♀️➡️, since I only have a short walk to get there myself.
We hike down to the Elbe River and on to Rathen.
From here, we climb uphill again, past the Kleine Bastei (Little Bastei), and a detour to the Backofenfelsen

We start at the Hockstein hiking parking lot and are the second car here today, besides the one from Sachsenforst.
From the Hockstein parking lot, we descend through the Wolfsschlucht gorge into the Polenztal valley, then climb back up the Schindergraben ravine on the opposite side.

The mulled wine festival has been held here on the first weekend of February for the past four years.
Combined with a short hike, we were able to enjoy delicious drinks and food at various wineries.

We started from the trailhead parking lot and were the first car there today.
Under bright sunshine and wonderfully crisp, cold air, we trudged around the reservoir through varying depths of snow.
We really enjoyed the crunching sound under our boots.
New views of the reservoir opened up again and again

Despite the gloomy weather, we went on a lovely hike through the Dipps Heath today.
We visited the Barbara Chapel, saw the Weißeritztalbahn at the Malter Dam, and climbed the King John Tower.
We had a delicious lunch at the Heidehof Country Hotel.

Today, I went soccer golfing with friends.
It was a lot of fun in the perfect weather, and a small snack was provided.
