Eleven of us spend the weekend in Tangermünde (worth the visit). Thomas is planning a circular hike not only along the Elbe. First a lot of forest then to the Elbe.
We only walk a short distance on the bike path, then down to the river over mown meadows - which Komoot perceives as off-grid - but is ok

Now and then drizzle, which hardly disturbs in the deciduous forest, but lures snails out. We don't meet other people. In the beginning, Havesters raged in the woods. To protect the forest from the local people's sign seems ironic.
Some paths will be overgrown by the end of summer.

In the wind and occasionally short showers, the three of them hike through may-green forests. I like the eastern part of the Hildesheim Forest better with the many single trails.

At hildesheim.de I found the Bodenburg ecological water educational trail. An interesting project by Mr. Kalkmann and Son.
