I follow the red markings on the ground. The "red trail" through Szczecin leads past 42 sightseeing spots, each one explained on a sign in several languages. I wouldn't have noticed many of them otherwise. A worthwhile circular tour!

The inspiration for this loop around the Schönerlinde ponds came from Komoot and I can only recommend it! There is hardly a soul around at this time of year, but there are plenty of birds to watch 🦅🐦🦢
... at the end I missed the turnoff to the S-Bahn, so you can skip the last loop...🤦♀️

It has always been my goal to cycle the entire Finow Canal in one day. I made it happen yesterday. A beautiful 50 km route, but it is relatively narrow in places and you have to share it with pedestrians and other cyclists.
I started in Niederfinow and advise against following my section km 43-48 because

The stage starts in Wustermark, which can be easily reached by bus even without the RE4. The dirt road right at the beginning was barely recognizable, alternatively you can continue on the Mühlenweg.
As far as Paretz, the route runs along

The Neisse can only be seen again at the beginning and the last few kilometers, in between along the Jeschke ridge with a wonderful view of the landscape. Liberec is absolutely worth seeing and worth the detour!

On the way from Prenzlau to Templin, I took a few sights with me that I was still missing: the ruins of the monastery and Boitzenburg Castle and the moated castle in Gerswalde.
The route runs on asphalt paths, usually separate bike paths between Boitzenburg and Templin, to Boitzenburg on a country road

So nice that I was able to take part in a Komoot relay hike again! My first stage on the 66 lakes hiking trail and definitely not the last 😊 Therefore, my thanks go to Bea for allowing me to accompany you again, to the creator Manfred Reschke, the initiator Frank Meyer and the Komoot team!
