A short trip into the idyllic Black Forest. Apart from the entrance to St. Märgen and a section of the descent to Buchenbach, the route runs completely away from the main roads, mostly on cycle paths, forest paths and quiet side roads.

This small, varied Kaiserstuhl circuit is easy to do with a gravel bike, with the exception of the last 200 meters of the climb to Katharinenkspelle. The wonderful descent that follows makes up for the pushing section.

The tour starts with an undulating profile over vineyards south of Staufen and then runs uphill to the Kälbelescheuer mountain inn through the shady forest, where you can fortify yourself for the final climb to the Kreuzweg car park. The first 20 km were hilly along the main ridge of the Kaiserstuhl. A feast for the eyes.
After the Texas Pass, the route descended via Bischoffingen and Burkheim to the swimming lake and the banks of the Rhine. Finally, a short climb followed by a refreshing stop on the Lenzenberg and then down to Ihringen. Simply wonderful :)
