Vi supplerer spontant vores udflugt til Merkur ved Baden-Baden med en gåtur til Friedrich Eberts Arboretum. Fra parkeringspladsen (betalingspligtig) ved dalstationen for Merkurbergbahn når vi eksoterskoven efter ca. to kilometer. Undervejs har vi en vidunderlig udsigt over den bagerste Oosbach-dal. Mummelsee og Hornisgrinde viser sig fra deres bedste side igen i dag – altid en givende gåtur med vores besøgende. I strålende solskin ved følte 7-9°C og vindstød op til 60 km/t går vi op ad den brede sti syd for Katzenkopf. Undervejs ville jeg have været taknemmelig for et par handsker. Vi er glade

On our way back from Montreal to Oshawa, we stop halfway around lunchtime. We visit the Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area, north of Kingston. The city is located at the eastern end of Lake Ontario, where the water drains into the St. Lawrence River.
We left Montreal in the morning to avoid traffic

In the evening, we walk through the old town to Chinatown for dinner. The streets had been deserted in the morning; now the restaurants are bustling, and long lines are forming at some of them.

As we walk down to the Port of Montreal in the morning, we can already hear the roar of engines from the distance on Île Notre-Dame, where the Formula 1 race will take place tomorrow, Sunday, at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. The evening before, we reach Old Montreal. Before nightfall, we still have time for a stroll through the city, followed by dinner.
The streets and restaurants of the city center are very busy; this may be due to the Formula 1 race taking place here that weekend. We hadn't considered the race calendar when planning our trip. 🙄

On the way to Montreal, we stop at the Thousand Islands National Park Visitor Center on the St. Lawrence River. Afterwards, we walk along the Jones Creek Trail into the wetland at Mud Creek.

After our "trip" to Ed Broadbent Waterfront Park, we drive along Colonel Sam Drive around the Oshawa Second Marsh to the free trail parking lot of the McLaughlin Bay Wildlife Reserve.
We take a walk through the marsh landscape with its deciduous forests and reed belt. Along the way, we come across a boardwalk

Strasbourg må ikke mangle på listen til vores besøg. Vi starter vores gåtur som sædvanligt på Place de la République i Neustadt. Ankomst med sporvogn D & C fra Kehl station, hvor vi parkerer vores køretøj (dagskort til parkering koster 2,50 €). Sporvognsbilletten købes ved automaten ved stoppestedet
