Today was our last day in Schladming. The best day in terms of weather. Unfortunately we're heading back to Vienna in the afternoon, so only a short tour.
Even if only briefly… it was a beautiful route. A little “lost” with a detour to the cross-country ski trails rounded off the experience 😅.

Start in Bad Mitterndorf, over the Salzaalm saddle to Grundlsee and Toplitzsee. Continue to Ödensee and back via the Steinitzenalm.

On the second day of our short holiday in Schladming, we first went a bit up to the Planai. Then on the beautiful to be driven Fastenbergweg, back down to the Talbachklamm. A real experience rolling along the rushing Talbach, always slightly downhill.

For more than 40 years I have been going skiing with my friends for a few days every year. This year Schladming was the destination again.
As one of our group had to skip skiing this year due to an injury, we both decided to go cycling instead.
