The last stage begins with a lake crossing. You can either row yourself or let the STF host drive you across the lake in a motorboat for €10 per person. A steady subsequent ascent leads over a long pass into the valley back to Vakkotavare. Also one of the most beautiful stages of the Kungsleden!

The penultimate day. You cross some stone fields and finally have a very steep and slippery descent to Teusejaure. Very idyllically located on a huge lake that tempts you to go swimming after a sauna session.

For me, this is where the most beautiful part of the Kungsleden begins. You start from Singi and stay in the valley for a long time. The weather got a little better. The vegetation changes over time and the first dwarf birches appear again. Saw some reindeer. The raging river is soon a constant companion

It goes leisurely with no significant meters of altitude from Sälka to Singi. You are still in the valley with sparse vegetation and breathtaking views.

From Tjäkta (the highest STF hut in the Kungsleden) we go back down to the valley via a pass with an emergency shelter. You pass mountain springs and snow fields. Very sparse and beautiful vegetation. This stage ends in Sälka.

Today we drive from Alejosaure to Tjäkta.
We have been on a high plateau for quite a while. The views are far, the mountains to the left and right are constant companions. Another constant companion is Meelis, whom we met on the night train. Tjäkta is one of the smallest cabins, but super cozy. After

Second part of the second day
We didn't start in Abiskojaure until eleven. That was a little late. To go the long day comfortably I recommend a start time at 09:00 at the latest. Alejosaure waits quite early with the first sight. Hours pass before you get there 😅😉. You could shorten this day by 7km
