Beautiful walk mainly in the forest. Superb views over the Alsace plain. On the way back, if you prefer, you can go straight through the forest from the Schaentzel, which we did. The unpaved tracks are wide, a small passage on foot to the first castle. Check your brakes carefully before leaving. Access

Very nice loop along the lake on a quiet path to start. Climb towards the border with pretty waterfall and chain grove Then long descent towards Gérès. Stop at a pleasant riverside café. All kinds of restaurants available in the center of the (small) town. The loop climb before the return is absolutely

Beautiful walk in the national park. One big climb, one medium, one small. Nice descent into a chestnut grove - check your brakes. We finish with a bit of a stony stretch of the Compostela road. Tour carried out in a small engine VAE VTC.
