Hike 1: Santo Antão Island 🇨🇻 – From Cruzinha to Ponta do Sol, passing through Formiguinhas, Corvo, and Fontainhas

My bicycle still hasn’t arrived in Mindelo, so I decided to go to Santo Antão and spend the Easter holidays enjoying the mountains by hiking, since this island is better suited for that than for cycling. Still, I’ll probably rent one to do an easy route, because I really miss my bike. This route runs along the coastal cliffs and can easily be done in 4 hours. It’s 14 kilometers long, so you need to be in good shape. My Komoot route says I did it in just over 2 hours, but I actually left Cruzinha at 11:30 and arrived in Ponta do Sol at 15:30, which is where I’m staying. I recommend going to Cruzinha by taxi and then hiking to Ponta do Sol, since it’s easier to find transportation in town.
