Today, an event was on our agenda. So, we went back to Neustrelitz. An organ concert followed by a guided tour. You even have the opportunity to go inside. Fascinating.
On the way home, we crossed the Franzosensteg (French Bridge) to the Island of Love—luckily, without any mosquito attacks.

Today's destination: The watchtower in Rheinsberg. We passed Witwesee again and asked at the guesthouse by the lighthouse in Rheinsberg for the key to the observation tower. No longer needed; it's a combination lock. So we climbed the steps and had a wonderful view of the trees. Also beautiful.

Sunday morning. We watch the rain during breakfast. Is it really getting lighter? Everything packed—bathing suits and rain gear, that's it! We're off. Many service stations have been set up at the rest stops. The Boltemühle is idyllically situated in the forest. A lovely destination today.

Let's see if the water's still OK for swimming. Of course! And no one still thinks so. So, all alone. Years ago, the bike path ran from Wustrow to Wesenberg. The forest workers had left their deep tracks, but it was still passable. Only where the path meets the B122 was there still an option last year

Trying to bypass the construction site in Ahrensberg was thwarted by the no-entry sign. So we cautiously went through again. Afterwards, a friendly cyclist told us that it's possible to "ride along" behind the church. We'll definitely try again. Yesterday's rainy day made the approach to the Stairway to Haven a bit muddy.

There was no getting past the construction site in front of the Diemitz lock today. Komoot apparently already knew this and suggested today's route. We just cycled there to check. Then it was a lovely ride through the forest. After Schwarz, the navigation system failed, but small signs in the forest showed the way.

Loaded up again in Gera. In Altenburg, nothing's allowed for cyclists. The barrier was clear. There's still a lot to discover in the Gessental Valley. From Gera onward, the Elster cycle path is under construction. So, off we go...
