In sheltered spots along the ditch in Schweinebruch, the first blossoms were already visible, but in the forest, apart from the birdsong, it was still quite wintry. Nevertheless, spring is coming, and fitness is slowly improving.

Grey, but mild and dry – no reason not to move the hike for the first Sunday of Advent to Saturday. This time we took a tour through the northern part of the Peine district, through perhaps lesser-known, but surprisingly beautiful spots. Only the last few kilometers were a bit monotonous. And the sun even came out at midday!

A beautiful autumn hike through unspoiled valleys, over a mountain steeped in history, and through pretty half-timbered towns. The trails were surprisingly well-marked and largely well-maintained. A worthwhile tour!
