Hike on April 30, 2025. Very challenging with all the snow that was still there. Had to walk through several parts of the snow (sometimes up to the knees in snow).
The view, on the other hand, was wonderfully beautiful. Many white peaks.
Without the snow, the route is easy to walk. The walk goes over

Driven to hintertux by car. From there we went up by cable car. Then bought a ticket for 13.00 euros for the 2nd cable car up to start a walk from there. That did not go well. There is only a walk down. Walking on the glacier is not possible.
After a while we took the cable car back down.

Nice walk to the Krimmler waterfalls. It is very touristy. Entrance fee is 9 euros per person. You walk on a gravel path of about 1.5m wide. In between there are benches to sit on.
