This barren, desolate and yet beautiful landscape in the west of Ireland is called the Burren. It is a 250 square kilometer limestone plateau that was formed more than 340 million years ago. At this point, the stone surfaces rise to the sea and those who dare to the edge will see unique cliffs! But beware: nothing is secured!

The fact that this abbey has not previously been a Komoot highlight (now already 😉) and is not otherwise advertised in travel guides or websites has the enormous advantage that these abbey ruins can be admired in silence with practically no tourists. Surrounded by the Burren Mountains, the Abbey exudes
