Quite an alternative to the car in the summer months. Except for a small section, always with a bike path

Unfortunately, there are many gates directly on the dike that have to remain closed in the summer months (approach, brake, open gate, slip through, close gate). The tar road is also popular with cows and sheep (flatbreads and poo). The tires are definitely dirty afterwards.

Good mix of paved and unpaved paths. Partly with and without separate bike paths. Very pleasant in midsummer due to the shady trees. The highlight is the view on the Balksee, which is not overcrowded.
