Brilliant excursion. Much nicer than cycling over the endless Danube dam to Bratislava.
Eating out in Devínsky Hrad is highly recommended.
In the end another 40km to Vienna was too much for me, so I decided to take the S7 back to Heinnburg. 😅

A very nice route, but more difficult than it looks. Always uphill, plus lively headwind - quite demanding.
Wine was extremely good for that. 😁

This was a pretty cool tour - 137 km, 9:37, by far the longest this year. Perfect weather and a good company too.
Unfortunately, the tour didn't record properly. Anyone knows how to download the track from Google maps?

I feel that I'm getting somewhere with this route. Next time I'll try to drive a little bit further to the east: From Adlerklaa to Essling and then through Löbau and over the dam.

Had a pleasure to observe a guy opening the left door without looking on Margaretenstraße.
He missed a young woman delivering food on a bike by a few millimeter. Seriously, how difficult is it to THINK and LOOK before opening the bloody door?

Part of the route from Gaaden to Baden is one of the most beautiful bike routes I have ever ridden.
The wine route from Baden to Mödling, on the other hand, was quite disappointing. Nice area but too much traffic. Worse, some of the drivers may think they're at the rally.

It's always difficult to say that something is the best or the worst, but this is definitely one of the top tours around Vienna for me. Possibly "the top tour". Slightly hilly, lots of beautiful nature, some history and architecture too. Just beautiful.
And no need to buy an extra ticket. Since Liesing
