The incredible average 😉 is the result of a combination of cycling and running in the Xanten Archaeological Park, which is highly recommended. Plan enough time.
A tour with plenty of variety, including use of the Bislich passenger ferry, although it doesn't always run.

A beautiful tour with a stop at the Marienthal Monastery Church. At some points, we had to ride on roads without bike paths—thankfully quiet ones. However, shady forest paths were also refreshing and easy to ride.

Despite the midsummer temperatures, it was a nice introductory tour. Unfortunately, the self-service ferry on the Lippe was not just out of service, it wasn't there at all. 😢
