This is a really cool hike with some great views. It's a little off the beaten track, and Komoot isn't recognising that there is a footpath for part of it. There is one, albeit with some signs missing, so take an OS map with you.

A stunning and comfortable walk along the River Dove. There are a series of large caves along the way which are really cool!

A nice walk along the River Dove, not too taxing. Stop for lunch at the Waterloo Inn in Biggin. Keep an eye out for Izzak Walton & Charles Cottons fishing temple.

Incredible spot. Easy place to park for £5 a day. The route looks a bit weird, Komoot won't let me plan it in the obvious route but it should give you a bit of a guide. It's fairly steep going up and coming back down. Pack a lunch and eat by the tarn. It's stunning. If you fish, take a rod.

This is a great hike if you have just had some lunch and delicious coffee at Chesters By The River. Don't park there and walk, the car park is full enough as it is. There is normally somewhere fairly nearby you can park though. It's a fairly gentle walk with a few steep bits and some great views!

This is one of our favourite after lunch walks in the Lakes. I would take 01:18 timing with a pinch of salt. Definitely took us longer and involves some pretty steep sections which require a bit of scrambling. Plus taking in the amazing views means the timings are always longer than expected!

Great views, stunning ancient woodland and a beautiful tarn. The footpaths around the wood are not clearly marked on a map. Just follow your nose, you cant go far wrong!
