A beautiful, long, challenging training loop in the Palatinate Forest from Wachenheim via Lambertskreuz, Eckkopf, and Wachtenburg with many great highlights.
At the Eckkopf Tower, we were given raisin cake today because the T-bar was a bit burnt... but it was still delicious 🤷

Preparatory tour for our trekking tours in the mountains. The ambitious plan for the day tour was to include around 7 hours, at least 800 meters of elevation gain, plus a "summit" (in the beautiful Palatinate Forest) and a stop for a mountain hut experience. 🍻🍷🍰🌭
In the end, it was a beautiful trail

A very scenic day trip with well-deserved rest stops. There is also a steep gradient in the transition from the alpine atmosphere and peace to the tourist "hustle and bustle" (Lünersee) 😎.. it is a holiday after all, and tourism in moderation also generates money to preserve this unique landscape and hut culture.

In preparation for our hut tour, we drove this morning to Neustadt to the
finish/start car park "Am Nollen"
In a mixed group of 9 organized by Dirk/DAV, we did a great round trip over the Nollenkopf, Hohe Loog, Kalmit, Totenkopfhütte, (Hellerhütte with refreshments) and the Kaltenbrunnertal 👍🏻

Nice panoramic way! Towards the end it puts a little strain on your knees 😅 (cooling off in the lake or relaxing at a stop) about every hour with the shuttle bus from the Giebelhaus back to Hinterstein.

After a leisurely descent, another steep ascent to the Laufbacher Eck, but then "enjoyment" hiking the 2nd part to the DAV Edmund Probst Hütte (it gets hectic here on the Nebelhorn Bahn, but settles down in the evening and you can enjoy the hut, the food,. . Great team 😊

From the Drei Buchen hiking car park 🅿️ near Edenkoben via the castle ruins ,,Neu Scharfeneck'', Landauer Hütte, to the Orensfels, Trifelsblick Hütte then on to the Nello Hütte where there was live music 🎸🎤🎸. At the Amicicia hut (closed) we went back to the starting point. A somewhat longer route

A beautiful three-day tour with two overnight stays at the Hans Berger Haus, a wonderful hut with friendly hosts and delicious food. The second day, with the ascent to the lower Gamskarköpfl with varying degrees of difficulty, was challengingly beautiful and also the highlight of the three-day tour.
