On the 5th and final day of our Rhine tour, we experienced an exciting contrast between natural sections and chemical parks, port facilities and industrial areas.

On the 4th day of our trip along the Rhine, we went through Bonn and Cologne to Neuss-Grimlinghausen. Large industrial areas alternated with sections of the route that were close to nature.

On the second day of the Rhine tour we went through the romantic Middle Rhine Valley. In Lorch we switched to the right bank of the Rhine to get to the foot of the Loreley rock. The hiking trail up is quite steep, but there is a beautiful view at the top.

On the 13th stage on the Main and Tauber, we mostly had strong headwinds. There are hardly any inclines and the paths are paved throughout.
There are beautiful historic inner cities in the snow white town of Lohr, in Wertheim and at Tauberbischofsheim, the destination for the day.

The 12th stage of our cycle tour took us to the foothills of the Rhön. There were no cities along the way, only larger and smaller villages and lots of countryside. First a piece on the Fulda, then always slightly uphill and back down to the Sinntal. Now we have reached the Main.

Day 11: Rainy stage to Fulda. Luckily there were always gaps in the rain and there weren't many kilometers. So we had enough time to go to a laundromat and do the laundry.
The most beautiful places along the way are Alsfeld and Lauterbach, both with historic town centers worth seeing

On the 10th cycling day of our trip we reached the Antrifttal reservoir. At first everything was flat, but we rarely saw the Lahn because there are not many paths directly on the bank. The historic old town of Marburg is well worth seeing. Tip: you can easily reach the upper town by lift. Two bikes fit
