My second ski tour this winter in Schattwald:
Conditions were ideal, 15-20cm of dry powder snow on a thin but stable base, also on the southern slope of the Kühgundspitze. It was also hardly broken up, there were surprisingly few ski tourers out and about, the group in the first photo was an exception

My first ski tour this winter in Grasgehren:
relatively snow-sure, easy for (re-)beginners, few meters of altitude.
And at the same time ideal for testing 2 different ski touring boots: first ascent and descent on the piste with downhill-oriented ski boots, second ascent all the way up the Riedberger Horn

The ascent via the Sonneneck (path 18A on the map) is extremely eroded and washed out after the Sonneneck, so that it is hardly passable. It is better to use the longer but less steep path 18E!

If there is no free parking space on the Vilstalstraße, there is a large parking lot at the end (daily fee €5.00).
Ascent via forest roads to the Dinserhütte, then over rooty trails and pasture structures, mostly pushing, up to the summit of the Edelsberg, sometimes a little difficult to find the way

Free parking at the Schlossbräu Schwangau, then to Füssen and along the Lech to the Lechfall. Then via the Schwärzerweg (S1) to Vils and to the Vilsegg castle ruins. Continue up to the Alatsee and on the other side over the Gemswändweg towards the west, at the end of which you have to push a short distance
