After a thunderstorm night in the forest, we continued on the Urwaldsteig. I struggled with my knee today, especially on the descents. The highlights towards the end were the alpine paths and the dry reservoir with the old bridge over the Eder. This is usually under water: Edersee Atlantis.

First day of three on the Urwaldsteig. There is very little or no water in the Edertalsperre. The forests in the national park are really impressive! A really nice route through old and untouched forests. Contrary to all forecasts, the weather was great. No thunderstorm, no heat.
