After a cozy mulled wine ride on the tram 🚋, we set off on foot, first through the artisans' courtyard, to the Christmas market to stroll through the crowded lanes. It was a lovely, eventful day before we took the subway back to Nuremberg Langenwasser-Süd, where our car was waiting for us.

Stimmungsvoller kann man sich in Nürnberg kaum auf Weihnachten einstimmen, als in einer weihnachtlich geschmückten Oldtimer-Straßenbahn die Stadt neu zu entdecken und dabei einen handwerklich gefertigten Elisenlebkuchen und einen Glühwein oder Kinderpunsch zu genießen.

From the tram stop, we travelled past Lake Wöhrd to the Mögeldorf district. We continued into Nuremberg's industrial heart, the Südstadt (South City), passing St. Peter's Church and Christ Church before returning to the main train station. Today we took a trip in the Nuremberg region along the Schwarzach stream to Feucht. In Gründberg, the road went down quite steeply. I'm so glad we chose the right direction for the tour; otherwise, we probably would have all had to push our bikes. Otherwise, it was a nice, leisurely ride through woods

A wonderful weekend in Wusterhusen, as a guest at the equestrian club where I learned the basics of riding 62 years ago and where I've remained a loyal guest ever since. Today we took a family trip to Königstein Fortress. The New Armory, which is only open from April to October, was our first stop.
The biggest event was, of course, the salute with the "Starke Auguste" (Strong Augustus). Here, the motto was "cover your ears, open your mouth, and be amazed."

Today we took a day trip to Lake Brombach. First, we took a walk on the dam between Lake Brombach and Lake Igelsbach. Afterward, we boarded Europe's only passenger trimester, the MS Brombachsee, for about 1.5 hours.

Today we took another short trip to Fürth. We parked our car at the P+R lot in Langwasser Süd and took the U1 subway directly to Fürth Central Station. There was plenty to discover at the medieval market and the adjacent Christmas market.
