Today, my husband and I are accompanying our hiking son Luca, a short distance on his 'Via Alpina' project. Pleasant hike, very moderate incline. We old people give up in "Geilsbühl" walk back to Bärgläger and take the gondola down Adelboden!

Sailing up the Ría Ulla with the pilgrim boat is an experience in itself. Jacob's crosses along the way and sunken wrecks.
Then from Pontecesures walk to Padrón to the stone coffin and then to Iria Flavia to sleep.

Super nice stage on the Ruta do piedras y del agua. Then along the river and finally along the sea. super nice! It was hot and it was long too!

From Pontevedra always along the sea. It looks nicer at high tide. But at low tide in Combarra you can see the horreos from the sea. Anyway worth seeing this village. After that, the path climbs steeply uphill, without shade and long stretches on the road, until it ends halfway up in a forest path. Take

The official camino is inland, but I walked along the sea, on the coastal path. Beautiful views of the Cies Islands. The whole stage is about 29km. My friend was standing in Praia do Baluarte, the bus and I drove the last 8 km.

Flat stage, along the sea, often on the road. The destination would have been Baiona, but I got on the bus after 18km and enjoyed the last 14km sitting down.

Back in Spain, by taxi boat across the Minho River. Beautiful hike along the Atlantic. In A Guarda then up to the Celtic settlements.

A leisurely stage of the Heart Route. It felt like it was almost entirely downhill. We passed Soppensee, Lake Sempach (a good opportunity for lunch), and then Lake Zug.
Crossing the Reuss River was quite spectacular, as a freight train thundered over the bridge just 1.5 meters from me. Help, smelling salts, please!
