Von Franzhäuschen zur Staumauer der Wahnbachtalsperre
Los geht's vom Franzhäuschen zur Staumauer und dann zurück über Gut Umschoss. Die Wege sind zum Teil geteert bzw. Schotterwege und hier und da findet sich auch eine Bank für eine Rast. Das ganze Waldgebiet rund um Franzhäuschen bietet zahlreiche Wandermöglichkeiten und natürlich auch die Möglichkeit für einen Abstecher zur Talsperre. Die Staumauer ist recht imposant und oberhalb gibt es schöne Sitzmöglichkeiten mit Aussicht auf die Wahnbachtalsperre. Von dort aus weiter zu Gut Umschoss und entlang der Nussbaumallee. Hier ist es natürlich in der Blütezeit oder Anfang Herbst zum Nüsse sammeln am Schönsten. Generell lohnt sich das Wandern hier zu jeder Jahreszeit 😎🐕🦺👍

Happerschoss mit Ausblick auf Talsperre🐕😊
Schöner Rundweg mit vielen Bänken für eine Rast. Zunächst durch den Wald mit Aussicht auf die Wahnbachtalsperre. Danach vorbei an Wiesen zum Teil asphaltierten Weg mit Blick auf Happerschoss. Nur geringe Höhenunterschiede. Zum Abschluss ist auch das Bistro Café zur Linde zur Einkehr ☕️gut erreichbar 👍

The island's mature trees 🌳🌲🌴🌵 are very impressive. Overall, it's quite touristy, and the online entrance fee of €25.50 per person is quite steep. I remembered the flowers being more beautiful, but that was many years ago. The butterfly house is not to be missed.😎
