Do not pay at the gate at the parking lot level! Scam, the hike is quite doable despite the small landslide. Otherwise pay like 100Rs or continue straight after the parking lot then on the right there are several entrances.

Attention duration of the tour ~4h, for us 5h with muddy and slippery ground
Breathtaking view of the highest point of Mauritius!
PS: the final ascent is steep, the same for the descent at the end, it is not easily passable, perhaps easier if the ground were drier
