The "Ruta del Bronce" (PR-A 288) near Baños de la Encina in the Sierra Morena is a circular hiking trail of approximately 9–14 km in length, depending on whether you take the extensions or not. Technically, the trail is easy, but there are some climbs, especially if you take the extension to the Mirador de Cerro Moyano viewpoint. The trail initially leads across open pastures and through Mediterranean forests with pine, eucalyptus, rosemary, and lavender, down to the Rumblar reservoir and the "Playa de Tamujoso," a picnic and swimming area. A particularly worthwhile detour leads from the main trail to the Mirador de Cerro Moyano, a viewpoint with expansive views over the Rumblar Valley and the surrounding hills. Another detour leads to the Fortín de Migaldías, a Bronze Age fortification with information panels explaining the archaeological significance of the area. The route continues along fruit and vegetable patches through a ravine and then on to Alcubilla, a picnic area. Finally, you return to the starting point. The actual starting point is at the sports field, but in this case, below the castle.
