The castle has a square plan, surrounded by a double defensive enclosure, of which it is worth highlighting the keep, with a Renaissance appearance, with battlements topped with arrowheads.
In general, it is a fortification of irregular shape, of great volume, joined by the stone itself to the rest of the wall and fortifications of the city, together constituting the basis of the entire defensive system of Alarcón.
