The decayed ramparts of Woodhouse Iron Age Hillfort are not easily visible these days. At one time, however, experts believe that the ramparts were once 13 feet (four metres) high. As you wander around this ancient fortress, it is amazing to imagine people going about their lives here thousands of years ago. You are afforded some lovely views, too.
