On practically every corner you can comfortably drink a café or uma cerveja. By default, a café in Portugal is an espresso. If you want a big café, you have to order a café grande or café americano. With the cerveja, of course, it's great to choose the "beer of the north".

Most people visit the place because of the Sanctuary of Santa Luzia. But a stroll through the old town is also definitely worthwhile. Viana do Castelo is really a little gem in Portugal. The Praca de República is considered one of the most beautiful squares in Portugal.

Are there any specific viewpoints within or near the Historic Old Town Streets of Viana do Castelo?

While the old town itself offers picturesque street-level views of historic buildings and squares, for panoramic vistas, you'll want to head slightly outside. Within the old town, the elevated areas around the Sé Cathedral can offer interesting perspectives of the surrounding rooftops.

What are the parking options available near the Historic Old Town Streets of Viana do Castelo?

Parking in the immediate vicinity of the historic old town can be challenging, especially during peak season.
