Today, the theater is managed in a more modern way. Since 2016, the Aveiro City Council has managed the theater. This transfer has marked the beginning of a new phase in the city's cultural policy. New variants of programming have been launched, such as festivals outside the theater's own premises, such as the Festival dos Canais (Canals Festival) and much more.
