    Vandring

The Château du Wasenbourg, like most castles in Alsace, has an eventful history. Like most castles, it was raided and conquered several times, sold and pawned. And then quickly visited again by Goethe (Wikipedia). The castle is now just a ruin, with the outer walls still standing. But there is a beautiful view from the top.

Wasenbourg was once a mighty castle (see link) of which only thick walls remain. The windows on the first floor of the palace are particularly worth seeing.
