Vandring
The discovery of coal in the harbor in 1862 inspired the name 'Coal Harbour' for the stretch of coast on Burrard Inlet, which lies between Vancouver's Downtown Peninsula and Brockton Point in Stanley Park near the Totem Poles. It is now also the name of the district with numerous high-rise buildings.
