Vandring

Remains of a late Roman villa rustica have been found in Lonnig. One part was excavated, but the larger part was confirmed by aerial photography.
The find is indicated in Lonnig at the original place with a few Mäuerchen, but otherwise everything remains at Bodendenkmälern. The villa has modern houses and a playground.
If you come in the context of the circular walk anyway, that's quite interesting. But you do not need extra. There is nothing Roman to see.

In fact, a villa rustica was discovered near Lonnig during the evaluation of aerial photographs and an emergency excavation was carried out. The area has now been built on and the excavation results - as of 2020 - have not yet been published. However, the site is not here, where the highlight is listed, but in the Lonnig new development area "An der Römischen Villa".
