    Kransberg Castle was built in a spur position around 1200. The castle consisted of an outer bailey and a core bailey, separated by a ditch. Parts of the ring wall and a residential tower have been preserved, the only building in the core castle. During the restoration, decorative stones were attached to the residential tower, which appear random and jumbled up. The remains are quite sparse, but invite you to a short visit. Source:

    The pretty little ruins of Kransberg are easy to reach and easily accessible. Simply follow the signs straight ahead in Laufen on the Heerberg from the thoroughfare past the church, which is also worth seeing.
