I did this tour in June at around 30 degrees. Yes, it is sweaty, especially on the constantly increasing return trip. But absolutely worthwhile and worth seeing; and something for photography. The restaurant was unfortunately closed (so take a drink with you). Taking a swim in the cove is just lovely; Caution is advised because of the rocks.
In addition, you can round off the hike with a visit to the Son Marroig mansion, with its nice garden and small round pavilion made of white marble (admission: € 4). And Valdemossa is close too.

At the start of the hiking trail just behind the museum, you have to climb over a gate to be able to do the very beautiful hike (don't worry, only goats)
