Almost at the top of the Gap of Dunloe, Auger Lake is the forth of its five lakes. You can see the Head of Dunloe not far ahead and on calm days it is beautifully reflected in the waters of the lake.

You should take food with you on this hike. There are only two places to stop for refreshments at the beginning.
