Ljubljana is the capital and largest city of Slovenia. The university town is known for its green spaces, including the extensive Tivoli Park. Cafes with outdoor terraces line the banks of the Ljubljanica River, which meanders through the city and separates the old town from the modern business center. Ljubljana has numerous museums, including the National Museum of Slovenia with its historical exhibitions and the Museum of Modern Art with Slovenian paintings and sculptures from the 20th century.
