    Coming from Kentheim after a somewhat steeper ascent, you come to the Stubenfelsen. The rock group has overhangs and cave-like niches. One feels reminded of the story of Ronja the robber's daughter (Astrid Lindgren).

    The Stubenfels represents a mighty group of rocks consisting of several large rocks. The rocks are stratigraphically placed in the upper scree horizon of the Middle Buntsandstein. The rocks show overhangs and cavernous niches. During the invasion of the Allies in 1945, the people had hidden at the Stubenfelsen. This with its wide overhang and some smaller caves in the area provided temporary shelter and shelter.
